Chosen Becky says woman used deceased woman’s Identity to slide into her husband’s DMs

Singer Chosen Becky says she intends to go after the person behind a fake social media account that allegedly used the image of a deceased woman to message her husband, Abdul Ssekajja, in what she described as romantic advances. In the account shared by Becky, the sender was identified as Elizabeth and appeared to be pursuing a relationship with her husband, despite her saying he is married.

According to Sqoop Uganda, Becky posted screenshots of WhatsApp conversations to support her complaint and said such messages are sent to her husband repeatedly. She accused some women of knowingly trying to interfere in her marriage and used strong language in her social media remarks to express anger over the alleged conduct.

The story took a turn when Becky said she learned the profile photo did not belong to the person writing the messages. She said people who recognized the image informed her that it was Stella Senyonyi, who had died. Becky described the use of the late woman’s identity as deceptive and disrespectful, and said she would try to identify the real account holder.

The incident has prompted discussion online about fake profiles and the misuse of deceased people’s images on social media. In general, such cases often raise concerns about privacy, impersonation and the ease with which identities can be misrepresented online.
