Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez has joined Serie A club Como on a season-long loan, according to BBC Sport Football. The move comes after Sanchez lost his place as Chelsea’s first-choice keeper following the arrival of Emiliano Martinez. BBC Sport reported that Sanchez had started Chelsea’s Premier League opener against Fulham, but a difficult performance contributed to doubts over his position before Martinez was signed from Aston Villa.

Martinez then began Chelsea’s next league match against Brighton, while Sanchez was left out of the squad.
