Chameleone opens up about Weasel’s four-month sacrifice during US treatment

What the report says
Ugandan musician Jose Chameleone has described the support he received from his brother Weasel Manizo during a period of medical treatment in the United States, according to Sqoop Uganda. Chameleone said he travelled for treatment without family accompaniment because Pallaso was abroad for shows in South Africa and their mother was unable to travel due to visa issues. He said Weasel was the only relative with a U.S. visa available at short notice and agreed to go with him.
The singer said that once in the U.S., they stayed in accommodation arranged by Juliet Zawedde, who had offered help with his treatment. He added that the space included basic amenities, but Weasel chose to sleep on a couch while Chameleone used the bed. Chameleone said this arrangement continued for nearly four months while he was being treated and that his brother remained with him through the cold winter.
He also said Weasel missed family moments, including Christmas and Valentine’s Day with his wife, Teeta Sandra, in order to stay by his side. Chameleone used the account to express gratitude and frame Weasel’s decision as a personal sacrifice. The remarks come as Chameleone continues to speak publicly about criticism over his health and as he prepares for his Unlimited Concert in Kampala, where Weasel and Pallaso are expected to perform.
