Carolyne Atuhairwe Takes Helm of Rotary Club of Muyenga Forest Hills

Nile Post reported that Rtn. Carolyne Atuhairwe has been installed as the second president of the Rotary Club of Muyenga Forest Hills, a service organisation whose members are popularly referred to as the “Forest Hillers.” The installation took place on Monday, July 14, 2026, at a ceremony attended by Rotarians, partners and community leaders.

According to the report, Rtn. Daniel Damulira presided over the event and encouraged the club to continue building on the work it has undertaken since its formation. In her acceptance remarks, Atuhairwe urged members to treat Rotary’s “Service Above Self” principle as a guide for everyday action, including volunteering, mentoring young people, supporting humanitarian work and applying professional skills to community needs.

The chief guest, Edith Tusuubira, a Commissioner at the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, praised the club’s work in areas including education, clean water access, financial inclusion, consumer protection and community empowerment. Nile Post reported that she described Atuhairwe as a listening and empathetic leader, while also stressing that the new president’s success would depend on support from the board, senior Rotarians and the wider membership.
