Vozinha, whose full name is Josimar Jose Evora Dias, drew international attention during Cape Verde’s historic tournament run. The move comes after Vozinha left Portuguese second-division side Chaves before the summer. Mosa said his performances justified the transfer, while also acknowledging that the signing has promotional value for Colo Colo. The report also noted Vozinha’s rapid rise in public profile, including a surge in Instagram followers linked in part to Brazilian influencer Casimiro. Al Jazeera said his mother, Ana Candida Evora, was later able to travel after visa-related obstacles were resolved following lobbying by US House Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries.
