The outlet cited comments from Capcom corporate officer Yoshikazu Shimauchi, who reportedly said during discussion of the company’s latest financial results that the chances of a follow-up were high. Pragmata launched April 17, 2026, and has sold 2.51 million units worldwide in its first three months, according to the figures cited by IGN.

The game is a new Capcom property set in the near future, following Hugh and an android companion, Diana, as they navigate a lunar research station. IGN noted that Capcom USA chief operating officer Rob Dyer had previously suggested the company now had another intellectual property it could continue developing, while also saying the project’s six-year development cycle had been worthwhile, though he did not formally announce a sequel.

The possible Pragmata continuation comes as Capcom reports broader momentum across its major franchises. IGN, citing the company’s financial update, said Resident Evil Requiem has sold 8 million copies, Resident Evil 4 Remake has reached 16 million, and the Resident Evil 2 remake has become the franchise’s top seller at 19.75 million, edging past Resident Evil 5’s 19.01 million. Capcom shares reportedly rose 19% after the results were released.
