Residents of Kabuye village in Butambala District are seeking answers after an eight-year-old girl was found dead at her home, with her mother accused of severely assaulting her. According to Nile Post, police arrested Violah Nakiganda after the death of her daughter, Trinity Nakimbugwe, in Budde Sub-county. The child’s body was later taken to Gombe Hospital mortuary for a postmortem examination, while investigations continue.

Local residents and leaders said they were alerted by cries from the home of the child’s father, Isack Kimbugwe, who was reportedly away overnight attending a funeral.
