According to the report, the foundation financed the work through its founder, Idd Menya, with additional support from donors in Turkey. Menya said the mosque was intended to give the local Muslim community a dignified place for prayer, while the borehole would serve both religious and domestic use. He also said the foundation has focused on water access in places where the need is greatest, including schools and mosques.

The commissioning was officiated by Jinja Deputy District Khadi Sheikh Kasimu Idd Balonde, who praised the project and urged worshippers to use the mosque regularly and help maintain the water source. Residents said the new facilities would make daily prayers easier and improve hygiene, especially for ablution before worship. One resident said the old structure had become unsafe, while others said the borehole would benefit neighboring households as well.

More broadly, the project reflects a pattern of community support initiatives that combine religious infrastructure with water access, which can be especially significant in areas where clean water remains limited. The mosque is described in the report as the fourth built by the foundation.
