Bromley appoint ex-MK Dons & Salford boss Robinson

What the report says
Bromley have appointed Karl Robinson as their new manager, with the League One club turning to a coach who has previously led MK Dons, Charlton Athletic, Oxford United and Salford City. According to BBC Sport Football, the 46-year-old has agreed a long-term contract after being out of work since leaving Salford in June.
Robinson replaces Andy Woodman, who was dismissed last month after Bromley made a difficult start to life in the third tier. Byron Webster, who had been serving as interim boss, will remain at the club as part of Robinson’s coaching team. Bromley are currently three points above the safety line after earning promotion to League One for the first time in their history last season.
Chairman Robin Stanton-Gleaves said the club ran a full recruitment process and wanted someone with experience at this level. He described Robinson as bringing strong tactical knowledge and energy, while stressing the club’s ambition to move forward. Robinson’s first match in charge will be Saturday’s FA Cup first-round tie against Rotherham United.
The BBC’s report also noted Robinson’s past achievements and setbacks, including promotion with MK Dons, play-off runs with Oxford United, and leading Salford to their highest-ever league finish before his departure. That background helps explain why Bromley have chosen an experienced manager as they look to secure their place in League One.
