What the report says

Bournemouth are close to completing an £11.1m deal for Sevilla right-back Juanlu, according to BBC Sport Football. The 22-year-old is expected to join the Premier League club on a long-term contract, with the fee understood to be made up of an initial payment of £9.4m plus £1.7m in possible add-ons.

The move would be Bournemouth’s third signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Antonio Silva from Benfica and striker Alvaro Rodriguez from Elche. The reported transfer comes as new manager Marco Rose continues to shape a squad that is nearing completion before the season begins.

BBC Sport said Juanlu is regarded as an attacking full-back with experience beyond his age and a strong background in Spain’s youth system. The club are said to be looking only for a backup goalkeeper now, with Djordje Petrovic set to remain the main option. Bournemouth are also preparing for a notable campaign in which they will play in the Europa League for the first time.

The report added that Sevilla have an interest in Bournemouth striker Enes Unal, although he is also said to have options in Turkey and Saudi Arabia. Separately, senior sources at the club reportedly consider Eli Junior Kroupi, Rayan and Alex Scott not for sale.
