What the report says

Gematsu reports that 2K and Gearbox Software have announced new post-launch content plans for Borderlands 4, led by “Story Pack 2: FL4K and the Last Resort,” which is set to arrive September 10. The DLC will launch alongside the game’s Version 1.10 update, the fifth “Bounty Pack,” and a new playable Vault Hunter named Loveless the Hacker.

According to the announcement, “Story Pack 2” brings back FL4K, the beastmaster Vault Hunter from Borderlands 3, for a new campaign on Kairos. The story follows FL4K’s search for their missing skag companion, Mr. Chew, leading players to a jungle island resort with volcanic terrain, where the Tediore corporation is carrying out a secretive invasion. Loveless, meanwhile, is described as a former Anshin hacker turned assassin who uses cybernetics and a self-made digital virus that can take physical form.

Before that, “Bounty Pack 4: Murders and Acquisitions” is scheduled for July 30 as paid downloadable content. It includes a narrative mission set in the Toxic Scowl, a polluted desert canyon, where players assist Levaine of the Electi amid conflict between two Ripper factions, The Flock and The Blasphemers. The mission is repeatable and includes choice-based variations in dialogue, combat and final boss support.

Gematsu says the fourth Bounty Pack also includes Vault Card 4, cosmetic rewards, rerollable gear, and opportunities to earn exclusive loot, including one Pearlescent weapon and six Legendary items. Borderlands 4 is available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
