Board of Peace touts progress as Palestinians’ situation worsens

Al Jazeera reports that a recent episode of its program "The Bottom Line" featured Athena Rayburn, the executive director of the Association of International Development Agencies, discussing conditions for Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip. The segment focused on how daily life has deteriorated amid the conflict, with Rayburn describing the situation as increasingly difficult for civilians.

According to the publisher, Gaza’s more than two million Palestinians are concentrated in a very small area, and basic necessities such as clean water, food, electricity, medicine and durable shelter remain scarce. The report says Israeli forces continue bombing the territory and that Israel has imposed severe restrictions on humanitarian aid and the work of relief groups.

The episode contrasted these conditions with the U.S.-backed Board of Peace, which Al Jazeera says has been presenting signs of progress.
