Bishop Kagodo, Kafeero Rally Kyagwe Ahead of Masaza Cup Final

What the report says
Bishop Enos Kitto Kagodo and Assistant Inspector General of Police Moses Kafeero have urged Kyagwe players to stay focused and confident as they prepare for the Buganda Masaza Cup final against Gomba. According to Nile Post, the two leaders visited the team’s training camp at St Joseph’s Secondary School playground in Naggalama, Mukono District, where they watched preparations ahead of the match scheduled for Saturday, October 31, 2026.
Kagodo praised the squad for lifting Kyagwe’s profile and giving supporters pride, while encouraging the players to keep a winning mentality, keep pressing for goals and avoid complacency. He also prayed for divine guidance as the team pursues the title. Kafeero, in turn, urged the players to show courage and draw strength from the 30 days they have spent in residential training.
The article says Kyagwe’s run has united supporters across different political camps and helped build momentum around the county. It also notes that companies and individuals have pledged Shs2 million for every goal Kyagwe scores in the final, along with other rewards meant to motivate the team. Kyagwe is appearing in its second final in three years after losing to Buddu in 2024, and will now try to turn this latest chance into a first Masaza Cup crown.
