Azzi Fudd wins WNBA All-Star 3-point contest; Shakira Austin, Elena Delle Donne, GG Banks take Shooting Stars Challenge - Yahoo Sports
What the report says
Yahoo Sports reported that Dallas Wings guard Azzi Fudd won the 2026 WNBA All-Star 3-Point Contest on Friday night at Wintrust Arena in Chicago, becoming the first rookie to take the title in the event’s 13 editions. Fudd, the No. 1 pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft, scored 30 points in the final round after opening with a perfect first rack from the left corner and making 20 of 26 attempts overall.
Fudd’s final score topped Portland Fire forward Bridget Carleton, who had led the opening round with 27 points but finished the final with 19. Yahoo reported that Fudd’s 30-point winning mark equaled Sabrina Ionescu’s title-winning total from the previous year. The rest of the field included Atlanta Dream guard Rhyne Howard, Toronto Tempo guard Marina Mabrey, Seattle Storm guard Natisha Heideman and Golden State Valkyries forward Janelle Salaün.
The report also said Fudd received $20,000 for winning, plus $40,000 from sponsor Aflac. Other 3-point competitors received $10,000, with additional Aflac payouts listed for Carleton and Howard.
In the league’s first four-team Shooting Stars Challenge, Team Washington — Shakira Austin, Elena Delle Donne and high school player Jezelle “GG” Banks — won with 31 points in the final round, beating Team Seattle’s 24. The competition paired a current WNBA player, a league legend and a Nike EYBL high school standout on each team, with players shooting from seven assigned spots, ending at a four-point half-court logo attempt. Yahoo reported Banks sealed the win by making the final long-range shot.
