Aston Villa agree deal for West Ham's Wan-Bissaka

What the report says
Aston Villa have reached an agreement to sign West Ham defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with the transfer set up as an initial loan that includes an obligation to make the move permanent at the end of the season, according to BBC Sport Football.
The DR Congo international, who is 28, has been allowed to travel to the Midlands for a medical. BBC Sport said the exact financial terms have not been disclosed, although West Ham had previously been seeking a fee of about £25m. Wan-Bissaka has not featured in West Ham’s first two matches of the season while talks continued.
The move comes during an active summer window for both clubs. West Ham have already made major sales and also secured captain Jarrod Bowen on a new contract, while Villa have been strengthening despite significant outgoing transfer income. BBC Sport noted Villa’s relatively low net spend compared with other Premier League sides after sales are taken into account.
For Villa, the signing adds to a squad that will compete in the Premier League and the Champions League this season under Unai Emery, with their league campaign due to begin at Brighton. Wan-Bissaka has previously played for Crystal Palace and Manchester United, giving Villa another experienced option at right-back.
