Arsenal fear Saka could be out for two months

What the report says
Arsenal are concerned that Bukayo Saka could be sidelined for as long as eight weeks after suffering a quadriceps injury in Wednesday’s Champions League match against Bayern Munich, BBC Sport reported. The forward was forced off during the 2-2 draw in Munich and is due to have another MRI scan on Friday to help clarify the extent of the problem. Early club assessments suggested he will miss at least six weeks, though the recovery period could be longer.
Mikel Arteta said Arsenal are waiting for more scans and specialist opinions before making a final judgment. The manager said Saka was in pain and struggling to walk when he left the pitch, but stressed the club wants to be cautious before confirming a timeline. If the early estimates are correct, Saka would miss several important Arsenal fixtures, including Saturday’s Premier League home game against Everton, and England’s upcoming Nations League matches against Croatia and Spain.
The BBC noted that Saka has dealt with a number of fitness issues over recent seasons, including Achilles, hamstring and hip problems, which have already limited his availability at times. The latest setback matters because he has been one of Arsenal’s key attacking players and had scored four goals in 11 appearances this season. It also adds pressure on Arsenal’s forward options, with several attackers unavailable or inexperienced.
