Africa: African Development Bank Group and African Forum of Deposit Funds Enter Into New Alliance to Mobilize More Long-Term Financing

The African Development Bank Group and the African Forum of Deposit Funds have agreed to deepen cooperation to mobilize more long-term financing for Africa’s sustainable development, according to an AllAfrica-published report dated 9 September 2026 from Abidjan. The partnership is framed as a way to support productive investment, strengthen economic resilience and encourage more inclusive growth across the continent.

The article says the two sides want to coordinate responses to a range of pressures, including geopolitical and economic uncertainty, climate-related disruptions, global shocks and social and economic divides.
