Adeknino Seed Secondary School Swears In New Student Leaders for 2026–2027 Academic Year

Dokolo Post reported that Adeknino Seed Secondary School in Adeknino Sub-county, Dokolo District, has installed a new student leadership team for the 2026–2027 academic year. The handover took place on Thursday at the school, with outgoing student leaders formally passing responsibilities to the newly elected team.

According to the report, outgoing Head Prefect Acura Joshua handed over to Omara Gerald, while outgoing Head Girl Apio Racheal was succeeded by Amolo Salume. The outgoing Uganda National Students Association president at the school, Moro Isaac, also transferred office to the incoming student leadership.

Headteacher Susan Kia told the gathering that the school aims to give students fair opportunities to discover and grow their leadership abilities and other talents. She advised the new leaders to carry out their duties with integrity, humility and responsibility, and cautioned them against misusing their authority or intimidating other learners. Rev. James Opio Ojok, the Parish Priest of Apewoneki Parish, also addressed the students, encouraging them to adopt a service-oriented approach to leadership.

Board Chairperson George Otim Toli, who attended as chief guest, urged students to stay focused on their studies and avoid choices that could undermine their future. Dokolo Post said he particularly warned learners, especially girls, about early pregnancy, which he described as a major factor in school dropout in the district. The event ended with appeals for the new leaders to support discipline, unity and academic performance during their term.
