What the report says

Ugandan singer Acidic Vokoz, whose real name is Kakaire Mutwahilu, is set to bring his Ndi Musoga concert concept back to Busoga with a festival scheduled for December 20 at Kyabazinga Stadium in Bugembe, Jinja. Sqoop Uganda reports that he will headline the Ndi Musoga Festival as a kind of homecoming, returning the brand to the region that has strongly shaped his music and public identity.

According to the report, the event will mix music with elements of Busoga culture and continues a concept first popularized by Acidic Vokoz through his song Ndi Musoga. The singer previously staged a major concert under the same name at Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala in August 2024, a show that helped establish him as one of the region’s rising music acts. The earlier concert was seen as a bold step for a relatively new artiste aiming to prove he could draw a large audience at a major venue.

Sqoop Uganda says the Lugogo show drew a significant crowd, aided by publicity in Kampala and Jinja, and received support from figures including the Kyabazinga of Busoga and former Speaker Rebecca Kadaga. The upcoming Bugembe event is presented as the next stage of that effort, shifting the concept from the capital back to its cultural roots.

The article also notes that Acidic Vokoz has served as a tourism and heritage ambassador for the Busoga kingdom. Event posters cited by the publisher list ordinary tickets at Shs10,000, VIP at Shs50,000 and tables at Shs2 million.
