CBS Sports reported that Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has publicly signaled a renewed relationship with members of his family after a long estrangement. According to the report, Rodgers posted several family photos to Instagram on Monday night, including images with his parents, Darla and Ed, his brother Luke, and his niece. The post, captioned “Another bonding week,” was described as the first time he has shared family photos on the platform.

The report says the separation dated back more than a decade and became widely known in 2016, when Rodgers’ brother Jordan appeared on “The Bachelorette” and Rodgers was notably absent from a family segment. CBS Sports also cited Rodgers’ comments in a 2024 Netflix documentary, where he criticized the public handling of the family rift and discussed religious differences and personal beliefs that contributed to tension.

CBS Sports noted that signs of reconciliation had emerged before the Instagram post. A 2024 book by Ian O’Connor said Rodgers’ father attended the American Century Championship golf tournament in Lake Tahoe in 2023, leading to a meeting between father and son. The report also said Rodgers’ parents attended his first game with the New York Jets, where he suffered an Achilles injury early in the game.

The development comes as Rodgers prepares for what he has indicated will be his final NFL season. CBS Sports said the 42-year-old is due to report to Steelers training camp on July 28 for his 22nd season, where he will also reunite with head coach Mike McCarthy, his longtime coach in Green Bay.
