What the report says

Beb Wine Company Ltd, a beverage manufacturer based in Lira City, is planning a significant expansion as it looks to deepen its position in Uganda and grow across East and Central African markets. According to Dokolo Post, the company currently produces about 18,000 cartons of beverages a day and wants to increase that to roughly 40,000 cartons daily within the next two years.

The company’s general manager, Jimmy Alex Okello, said the expansion would be supported by available space at the Lira facility and by growing demand for its products. He said Beb Wine employs more than 400 people and has built more than 10 branches across Uganda. The company also says its products are sold in neighbouring markets including the Democratic Republic of Congo, South Sudan, Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda, suggesting it is becoming a regional supplier.

Dokolo Post reported that Beb Wine’s production relies in part on locally sourced ingredients such as pineapples, oranges and ginger, linking the business to nearby communities and local economic activity. The company also says it uses automated and sterile production processes, and that its products have been approved by the Uganda National Bureau of Standards.

The company’s product line includes Beb Mixed Alcoholic Fermented, Beb Big Men and Beb Alcoholic Fermented beverage. Management said the growth push is intended to strengthen employment, local sourcing and trade, while also urging responsible consumption and warning against alcohol use by people under 18.
