What the report says

Delaware Live reported that Delaware lottery players have until 9:45 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, to buy Powerball tickets for an estimated $663 million jackpot. The drawing is scheduled for 10:59 p.m. The prize was still available after no ticket matched all six numbers in Monday’s drawing, making Wednesday’s jackpot the largest Powerball prize offered so far in 2026, according to the report.

The advertised jackpot would be paid through 30 graduated annuity payments. Delaware Live said the estimated cash option is $290.4 million before federal and state taxes, though final amounts may shift depending on national ticket sales. Monday’s numbers were 6, 26, 46, 58 and 65, with Powerball 25 and a Power Play multiplier of 2. No ticket won the jackpot or matched all five white balls for the $1 million prize.

The jackpot has been building since May 2, when tickets sold in Florida and Texas split a $20 million Powerball prize. The report also noted broader lottery interest after a Florida ticket won an estimated $803 million Mega Millions jackpot on Tuesday, with a cash value listed at $345.5 million.

Powerball tickets cost $2 per play, with an optional $1 Power Play add-on for most non-jackpot prizes. Players choose five numbers from 1 to 69 and one Powerball from 1 to 26. Delaware players must be at least 18 to buy lottery tickets, and winning drawing-game tickets must be claimed within one year. The report listed the jackpot odds at about 1 in 292.2 million and urged responsible play.
