The San Francisco Chronicle reported that 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan appeared at the team’s practice fields Monday for a second straight day as he continues recovering from injuries sustained in a July 14 car crash in Palo Alto. Shanahan watched the end of practice for about 45 minutes alongside general manager John Lynch after media cameras were no longer allowed, according to the report. Quarterback Brock Purdy said it was the first time he had seen Shanahan in person since the crash.

The Chronicle said Shanahan is still dealing with concussion symptoms and other injuries, including a broken nose, broken left hand and broken ribs.
