What the report says

Eurogamer reported that IO Interactive has released Patch 1.1.0, the first major post-launch update for 007 First Light. The update went live at 09:00 UTC / 11:00 CEST and is described by the studio as addressing more than 200 issues identified by players and internal testing, including crashes, clipping problems and achievement bugs.

The patch is notably large on PlayStation 5, where Eurogamer lists the download at 23.84GB. Other platform sizes are much smaller: 3.6GB on Steam, 3.99GB on the Epic Games Store, 2.24GB on Microsoft PC and 1.39GB on Xbox Series consoles. The fixes cover several areas, including Xbox Series S crash scenarios, PlayStation aiming issues after system-menu use, Xbox controller reconnection problems, TacSim menu responsiveness, offline-mode issues on Epic Games Store, UI and HUD glitches, cinematic speed bugs, audio and subtitle mismatches, and localisation errors.

IO Interactive also added new content rather than limiting the update to technical repairs. Patch 1.1.0 introduces two TacSim Escalations, The Workshop and Extraction Avenues, along with unlockable TacSim rewards that can be bought with Intel currency after reaching specified clearance levels. These include the Stormberg 50’cal, DRX-2 Machine Pistol, DRS-7 Silenced SMG and the Diamond in the Rough outfit.

The update matters because it appears to be the game’s first broad stability and quality-of-life pass after launch, while also expanding its challenge-based TacSim mode. Eurogamer noted that IO Interactive said more fixes and content updates are already in development.
